Meet the software behind AI Dave

Most software can’t explain itself. ShadowEngine can.

ShadowEngine is a Living Autonomous Operational Intelligent Organism — and it explains itself. Its first commercial product is AI Dave.

Stop reading about your software — start speaking with it. The glowing core to the right is the Living Intelligence Core of ShadowEngine. Ask it what it is, how it helps organizations, and why it matters — you are speaking with ShadowEngine itself, not reading its brochure. You have probably felt the gap it fills without ever naming it: every system your business runs on was built to remember what happened, and to leave the understanding, the connecting, and the deciding to you. You have been the intelligence your software never had.

Movement 01

Notice how your software actually works

For fifty years, business software has been built the same way: a tool for each job, a table for each kind of record, a screen for each task. One system for the phones, another for customers, another for scheduling, another for the documents. Each one does its job well. None of this is broken, and none of it is anyone’s fault — it is simply how software has always been made.

But watch what you actually do all day. You take what the phone system knows and tell the CRM. You take what the CRM knows and shape the schedule. You carry the context from the meeting into the document, and the document into the follow-up. The software remembers each piece faithfully — and leaves the understanding, the connecting, and the acting to you. The work between the tools has always been yours. You are the part that makes the separate systems into one business.

Once you have seen that, it is hard to un-see — and strangely freeing. The disconnection every business owner feels was never a failure of effort or discipline. It is simply what happens when software remembers in pieces and leaves the whole to a person. Every business you have ever admired runs on the same invisible seam: someone holding the separate tools together by hand. And a quiet question follows on its own: what if your software actually understood your business — instead of simply recording it?

“Your software has remembered everything and understood nothing — and the understanding has always been your job.”
Movement 02

Software that understands, not just records

That question is the reason ShadowEngine exists. It begins from a different premise: that the operation itself — the living, connected work of a business — is what software should hold. Not records of the work, but the work; not a history of the relationship, but the relationship, still alive. A business has never really been a set of tables. It has always been a web of relationships — and this is the first software built that way. That is why we call it a category, not a product.

“Software has always recorded your business. ShadowEngine understands it.”

And the way you actually meet that intelligence is AI Dave — the first product built on ShadowEngine, the way a single remarkable application is built on an operating system. This is not a ranking; it is a relationship. ShadowEngine gives AI Dave every capability it has and keeps every action governed; AI Dave is how that understanding reaches you, and how it demonstrates the answer inside your own business. When you adopt AI Dave you are not buying a clever app that might be replaced next year — you are joining the platform underneath it, one foundation that compounds and that future products will stand on.

orb highlight hook The platform, the product, and you ShadowEngine is the encompassing platform field. AI Dave, the first product, sits at its centre — powered and governed by it. You and your business meet the product, moving around it, all within the one platform. You meet the product and move around it, and all of it lives within one foundation. You aren’t buying an app on the edge of things; you’re joining the ground they stand on.
Movement 03

Everything belongs to the relationship

Here is the single idea that makes the rest of it possible. In ordinary software, information belongs to tables — a customer row here, a call log there, an invoice somewhere else — and the relationship between them is something you reconstruct, over and over, by hand. In ShadowEngine, information belongs to the relationship. A customer is not a row; they are a continuous profile that every call, message, schedule, document, and decision attaches to and draws from.

We call that substrate the ProfileGraph. Because context lives with the relationship instead of scattered across tables, it never has to start from zero — the business stays known to itself. Continuity stops being something you maintain and becomes something the platform is. It begins to learn, to remember, to connect — to behave less like a filing cabinet and more like something that is paying attention.

“A business that stays known to itself stops behaving like software — and starts behaving like something alive.”

You don’t need to take that on faith. The next page shows you exactly how it works — and it is hard to walk away from unchanged.

Movement 04

Where this goes

Understand the platform → imagine it running your business → see how easily it starts → and how it operates, grows, and keeps getting smarter.

What you have felt so far is only the doorway. We’ll show it to you the way you’d actually meet it — the platform first, then the product, then your business on it — and each step makes the one before it feel inevitable. The foundation is already real and active today: the Living Autonomous Organization Runtime is live, and what grows over time is how much of your business runs on it.

Movement 05

One idea to carry forward

Everything you have just read rests on a single idea — that a business can be held by its relationships instead of its records. Sit with it for a moment and it stops feeling like a software decision at all. Either this is a small change in how software is built, or it quietly changes what software is allowed to become — and once that question is in your head, it is almost impossible to leave unanswered.

“Either this is a small change in how software is built — or it changes what software is. And you already want to know which.”

The platform

Built around the relationship, not the record.

ShadowEngine is the intelligence beneath AI Dave.

Home showed you a different idea. This page shows you why it was inevitable — and why, once you have seen it, every other piece of software starts to look like it stopped one step short.

Movement 01

The idea has a name: your Living Autonomous Organization

On the home page you met a single idea: that information can belong to the relationship instead of a table. That idea has a name — your Living Autonomous Organization — and it is the foundation everything else is built on: your whole business, understood from its own evidence.

In ordinary software a customer is scattered: a row in the CRM, a log in the phone system, a thread in email, a file in the drive. You are the one who rejoins them, every time. In ShadowEngine the customer is a single, continuous profile, and every call, message, schedule, document, estimate, and decision attaches to it and draws from it. Context lives with the relationship, so it never has to be rebuilt.

“A customer was never a row. ShadowEngine finally stops pretending they were.”

Movement 03

Each layer is only possible because of the one beneath it

None of this is a single feature. It is a sequence, where each capability is only possible because of the one beneath it — which is exactly why it had to be built as a platform, not bolted on as an app. Each step answers the same quiet question: why doesn’t software already work this way?

01ProfileGraph — everything belongs to the relationship.
02Relationship Continuity — context never resets.
03Runtime Ownership — it owns the operational mechanisms, not just the records.
04Intelligence Compounding — governed activity makes it more capable over time.
05Operational Awareness — it knows its own live operating state.
06Organizational Intelligence — that awareness spans the whole business.
07Self-Healing — it monitors its own health and recovers.
08Capability Inheritance — products inherit the platform’s capabilities.
09Living Organism — interdependent domains, continuity, self-awareness of state.
10Governing Intelligence — one intelligence that governs the whole operation.

Read them from the top and the feeling that arrives isn’t how advanced — it’s why doesn’t my software already do this? Not one of these layers is exotic. Each is the obvious next step once the one beneath it exists. The only reason software doesn’t already work this way is that it was never built around the relationship to begin with — so none of these layers had anything to stand on. Somewhere down the list it stops resembling software and starts resembling something that operates.

“It isn’t ten features. It’s one idea, ten layers deep.”
Movement 04

One connected mesh, not separate apps

A platform is only as real as what it can do. ShadowEngine’s capabilities aren’t a drawer of separate apps — reception, CRM, scheduling, estimating, documents, communication, and executive intelligence are one connected mesh, all sharing the same ProfileGraph and the same governance.

And because they live in the platform, every product built on ShadowEngine inherits the whole mesh. AI Dave is the first to do so.

“Build a capability once, into the platform — and every product after it is born already knowing how to run a business.”
Movement 05

A foundation is meant to be built on

You came in asking whether this was a small change or a different kind of software. Here is the answer: it is a foundation — built around the relationship, owning the operation, compounding as it runs, until it behaves less like a program you open and more like an operation that runs itself. And a foundation exists to be built on. You’ve seen why it’s different. Now meet what it makes possible.

“You’ve seen the foundation. The next page is what it was built to carry.”
One intelligence, many businesses

Every organization gets its own AI Dave. None of them can see each other.Built — activation pending

They all run on the same intelligence and improve together. Understanding never crosses between them — your business never becomes someone else’s advantage.

Many AI Daves, one intelligence

You are about to put how you price work into a system, and you stop, because you have no idea who else it learns for.

The thing that would help you most is the thing you are least willing to hand over.

I run as a separate AI Dave for every business. I get better at understanding work across all of them, and I never carry what yours knows into anyone else’s.

AI Daves working together

You and the general contractor are keeping the same programme up to date in two places, and neither version has been right since Tuesday.

Both of you are doing admin to avoid a conversation neither of you has time for.

Ours talk to each other about the work you share, so the thing you both depend on stays current without either of you retyping it.

Governed information flow

A supplier asks a question that only makes sense if they can see your margins, and you realise you do not know whether they can.

You spend the rest of the call wondering what else you have not checked.

I can tell you exactly what they can reach and what they cannot — and if a rule cannot be checked, the answer is no rather than a guess.

The product

Your business was supposed to set you free.

You didn’t start it to lose your evenings to email, your weekends to paperwork, your dinners and vacations to “just one more thing.” Yet somewhere along the way, it started depending on you for everything.

Movement 01

The life you already recognize

You didn’t dream of missed family dinners, cancelled vacations, postponed golf trips, or never truly switching off. But somewhere along the way, the business started leaning on you for all of it:

Every estimateevery proposalevery phone callevery customerevery meetingevery follow-upevery documentevery approvalevery problemevery decision

Instead of owning your business, your business slowly began owning you.

AI Dave changes that. Everything that follows is proof.
Movement 02

What changes for me?

Underneath every one of these moments is the same quiet promise: you get your time back.

You get your evenings back. Your staff get their time back. And your business finally remembers everything.

It knows you before you speak.

Before the phone finishes ringing, AI Dave has recognized the caller and pulled up the last conversation, their open project, and what they’ve spent. You answer already ten steps ahead.

Nothing is ever lost again.

Every call, text, email, meeting, and document is autonomously collected into the company’s permanent relationship intelligence — a fact the business now simply knows.

The meeting finishes itself.

Before everyone has stood up from the table, the transcript, the summary, the decisions, the action items, and the follow-up emails are already written and sent. The hour you used to lose after every meeting — gone, in the best way.

Autonomous monitoring protects your schedule before it breaks.

AI Dave watches the forecast against your actual jobs and moves crews before the rain costs you a day.

The morning briefing already knows.

Before you’ve finished your coffee, AI Dave has told you what happened across the business, what changed, what needs your attention, and where the opportunities are.

It learns your business from what you already have.

Getting started isn’t data entry. AI Dave imports your CRM, SOPs, manuals, documents, drawings, videos, photos, estimating templates, price books, historical projects, financials, products, and customer history — adapts to your CRM’s structure instead of forcing you into its fields, and builds whatever relationship structures it needs.

It hands the new hire ten years of memory.

When someone new starts, they don’t start from zero. AI Dave briefs them on the customer, the history, and the way the work is done — the knowledge that used to live in one person’s head is now something the whole company holds.

Autonomous observation catches what everyone else would have missed.

The quote no one followed up, the warranty about to lapse, the customer who’s gone quiet — AI Dave surfaces it before it quietly costs you.

What would you do with an extra three hours every day?

Hand over the whole project

This is one of AI Dave’s highest-value transformations. You don’t drop in a file — you drop in the project: site plans, blueprints, an RFP, a bid or construction package. AI Dave reads the documents and does the takeoff — the slow, error-prone part you usually dread — then hands back a running operation.

Quantities counted, materials listed, products recommended, estimate built, proposal written, supplier requirements prepared, crews scheduled, weather watched, and the customer followed up afterward. You hand over a package and get back a completed operational workflow — with your approval the only gate before anything goes out.

Autonomous organizational intelligence understands relationships, not records

This is where it stops feeling like a CRM. AI Dave keeps three kinds of relationship — and treats each one differently, because each one is different.

A close friend calls, and AI Dave already understands the personal relationship you chose to teach it — it might ask how the golf trip went, or remember the birthday next week. A customer calls, and the same intelligence instead surfaces their projects, revenue, warranties, estimates, past meetings, and the opportunity you’ve been meaning to follow up on. Same AI Dave; completely different relationship.

Autonomous knowledge acquisition builds a complete history

For every profile, AI Dave keeps the whole story — a complete chronological history the business simply holds: phone conversations, meeting transcripts, emails, texts, documents, estimates, proposals, approvals, decisions, projects, revenue, and follow-ups. When you need it, you retrieve any of it instantly.

That changes how the business lives: continuity when staff move on, customer service that never asks “remind me what happened,” project history you can stand behind, documentation for the moments that matter, accountability, dispute resolution, and institutional memory that no longer walks out the door. This isn’t surveillance — it’s the business finally remembering everything you and your team can’t.

The back office runs itself

The paperwork that used to eat your evenings — documents, signatures, timesheets, payroll prep — is handled by autonomous workflow intelligence that quietly takes care of itself, and stops at you for the decisions that should stay yours.

The document signs itself out.

A contract needs signing. AI Dave prepares it, sends it through your approved signing process, tracks who’s signed, chases the stragglers, and files the finished document on the right relationship — you just approve it goes out.

Autonomous follow-up, so approvals don’t fall through.

Real-estate disclosures, a law firm’s engagement letter, a customer’s sign-off on a change order — AI Dave routes it, tracks it, and won’t let it stall.

The crew clocks in by text.

Employees check in and out, log hours, and get assigned to projects by call or text from the job site — time and attendance simply happen, accurately, without paperwork.

Payroll autonomously prepared and checked — you approve.

AI Dave assembles the hours, project allocations, and schedules into a clean, approval-ready package for your bookkeeper or payroll provider, and flags inconsistencies in the time data before it’s processed. AI Dave prepares; you approve; they process.

“The paperwork still gets done. It just stops being done by you.”

Imagine tomorrow morning

It’s 7 a.m. You haven’t opened your laptop. While you slept, AI Dave kept your business moving — so this is what’s already done before your first coffee:

Overnight enquiries answered

Every after-hours call, text, and email handled — no lead left waiting until morning.

Today’s meetings prepared

Each one briefed, with the history and documents you’ll need already pulled together.

Executive briefing generated

What happened, what changed, what needs you, and where the money is — at the top of your day.

Estimates completed

The drawings that arrived overnight are already priced and ready to send.

Contracts awaiting your approval

Prepared and queued — one look and a yes from you, and they’re out.

Weather issues already flagged

Tomorrow’s rain spotted against this week’s jobs, with the schedule change drafted.

Customer follow-ups sent

The people who were waiting to hear back have already heard back.

Your priorities organized

The day arranged around what actually matters — not whatever shouted loudest.

“You haven’t started work yet. Your business already has.”

When was the last time you took a vacation without checking your business?

You don’t have to be at your desk anymore

Here is the part that changes your life, not just your operations. You don’t have to be sitting at a computer for any of this. You just talk to AI Dave.

Call him, text him, speak to him naturally — hand over work while you’re driving, walking a job site, on a plane, or on a beach. Approve an estimate, sign off payroll, clear a document, review a customer issue, read the executive summary — from anywhere in the world. The business keeps moving whether or not you’re in the room.

“Your business can finally run without constantly needing you. That’s not remote work. That’s your life back.”

This was never about replacing you. It’s about removing the administrative weight that kept you from the family dinners, the vacations, and the golf trips you built the business to afford in the first place.

Movement 08

Your industry, specifically

This isn’t generic. It isn’t built for one trade. It learns how a business operates — so the same intelligence shows up in the concrete language of how yours actually runs. Look for the line that sounds like your day.

Landscaping & artificial grass

An RFP is answered the same day: the site plan read, quantities taken off, the proposal priced and submitted complete — crews and weather already accounted for.

These are only a small number of examples. ShadowEngine was never designed for one industry. It was designed to learn how businesses operate. If your business runs on people, relationships, knowledge, communication, projects, documents, scheduling, decisions, operations, or customers, AI Dave adapts to the way you already work. These industries are examples — not limitations.

By now you’ve probably noticed something. Across every one of these moments, ShadowEngine hasn’t behaved like the software you’re used to. Software waits to be opened and used. This has been doing something else the whole time.

Once you’ve watched it work, it’s hard to think of a better word for it.

You don’t want another application

Think back to where we started: a business that had quietly started owning you. By now you’ve pictured the other version — AI Dave at the front desk, in the estimate, on the schedule, in the morning briefing, remembering every customer you’ve ever had, running while you’re at dinner.

You’re not looking at software anymore. You’re looking at your time back, your freedom back, a business that never forgets, and a partner that runs the day with you. The only question left is how simply it starts.

Most people start a business to create freedom.

Somewhere along the way, they accidentally create another job.

AI Dave helps you take your business back.

“You don’t want another application. You want AI Dave running your business.”
The introduction

You don’t install AI Dave. You introduce it.

By now you know what AI Dave can do. A quieter question has taken its place: can I trust it with my business? This is the chapter that answers it — where you watch a new operational intelligence learn your business, in the open, with you in control the entire time.

Movement 01

The only question left

Every page before this one built toward excitement. This one builds something steadier. You are no longer asking whether AI Dave can do the work — you saw that. You are asking whether you can hand it the thing you have spent years building.

So nothing here is hidden. You will see exactly what AI Dave needs, exactly what he is learning, and exactly where your approval is required. Trust isn’t asked for on this page. It is earned, in front of you.

“You’re not deciding whether AI Dave can do the work. You’re deciding whether to trust it with your business.”
Movement 02

It begins with one profile

Not a CRM record. Not a login. Not an account. AI Dave begins with a single Master Operational Profile — the heart of the platform. Everything it learns attaches to this profile. Everything it remembers grows from it. Everything it understands stays synchronized through it.

This is why nothing AI Dave learns is ever scattered or lost: it all belongs to one living profile from the very first moment.

Movement 03

Every relationship is autonomous living intelligence

Here is the part most people miss. AI Dave doesn’t become intelligent because documents exist — it becomes intelligent because relationships become richer. A profile is not a contact card. It is living operational intelligence, and the Master Operational Profile is the governing identity every other relationship synchronizes through — which is why synchronization begins there.

Your business runs on many kinds of relationship, and each one teaches AI Dave something completely different. The richer each becomes, the more capable AI Dave becomes.

Each relationship contributes a different kind of intelligence — and together they become one operational understanding:

Customers teach
communication history, project history, buying behaviour, preferences, the people involved, and who the decision-makers are.
Employees teach
skills, availability, training, responsibilities, knowledge, and experience.
Vendors teach
pricing, lead times, reliability, their products, and how they communicate.
Projects teach
their documents, photos, weather, meetings, estimates, and full history.
Equipment teaches
maintenance, failures, location, service, and usage.

And ShadowEngine understands far more than these — each a different operational relationship, each teaching something unique:

Movement 04

You introduce AI Dave to your business

This is the part that feels different. You are not uploading files into a system. You are introducing AI Dave to your business — and each part of your world teaches it something real.

Your documents, CRM, photos, videos, meetings, blueprints, SOPs, emails, estimates, scheduling, equipment, and employees: every one raises AI Dave’s understanding. You don’t watch a bar fill. You watch comprehension climb — toward the moment the business is genuinely understood.

orb highlight hook You don’t upload your business — you introduce it As each part of the business is introduced — documents, CRM, photos, videos, meetings, blueprints, SOPs, emails, estimates, scheduling, equipment, employees — AI Dave’s understanding rises toward operational readiness. YOU DON’T UPLOAD YOUR BUSINESS — YOU INTRODUCE IT UNDERSTANDING ready new Documents CRM Photos Videos Meetings Blueprints SOPs Emails Estimates Scheduling Equipment Employees Operationalreadiness
Introducing your business — understanding rises Each part of the business you introduce lifts AI Dave’s understanding a little higher. The line you are watching is not an upload. It is comprehension rising toward operational readiness.
“You’re not uploading your business. You’re introducing AI Dave to it.”
Movement 05

Autonomy you can see — nothing happens invisibly

Every single thing you introduce answers three questions, out loud, where you can see them. You never wonder what AI Dave did with something — it tells you, every time.

01 · What is this?
A set of construction blueprints.
AI Dave recognizes the drawing set, the project it belongs to, and the client behind it.
02 · What did AI Dave learn?
The scope, the quantities, the materials.
It read the sheets and pulled the takeoff — what the job is made of, on the right relationship.
03 · What capability increased?
AI Dave can now estimate this job.
Estimating and proposals for this project become possible — understanding has turned into capability.
“You never watch an upload complete. You watch understanding arrive.”
Movement 06

You watch autonomous understanding grow

There is no “setup progress” here, because nothing is being set up. What rises instead is understanding — and you can see it, in terms that actually mean something:

Business Understandinghow much of your operation AI Dave comprehends
Confidencehow sure it is about what it has learned
Operational Readinesshow ready it is to begin working with you

And with every source, the same six things visibly happen — not as claims, but as proof you can watch:

01Reading 02Understanding 03Connecting 04Relationship growth 05Memory expansion 06Operational capability
“By the time it finishes, you already trust it — because you watched the intelligence develop.”
Movement 07

Governed autonomy — you remain in complete control

Watching an intelligence learn your business only builds trust if you never stop being in charge of it. You don’t.

Everything is visible

Every field AI Dave captures appears in the open — you see what it understood, as it understands it.

Everything is editable

Any value can be corrected in a moment. Your correction doesn’t just fix a field — it teaches AI Dave.

Nothing goes out without you

Learning your business is one thing; acting in it is another. Nothing customer-facing happens without your approval.

You set the pace

Introduce as much or as little as you like, whenever you like. The relationship waits for you, and continues where you left off.

Your understanding stays yours

Your organization’s memory is private and isolated — never shared with, or learned from by, another business. Tenant isolation is permanent, and trust, privacy and security are part of the foundation.

“Understanding is AI Dave’s. Every decision stays yours.”
Movement 08

Autonomous decision intelligence, becoming operational

Step back and notice what this really was. Not an installation. Not a setup wizard. Your operational world — your people, documents, projects, and history — quietly synchronizing with an intelligence that will carry it forward with you.

“Nothing was installed. A relationship became operational.”

And then, a different kind of moment

“I’ve finished learning your business.”

“I’m AI Dave.”

“Let’s get to work.”

AI Dave · ready

No “setup complete.” No final progress bar. Everything before this moment existed to earn that introduction — the moment you feel an intelligence become ready, not a program finish configuring.

Movement 09

You didn’t upload your business

Think back to the quiet fear you arrived with — can I trust it with my business? You answered it yourself, by watching. You saw what AI Dave needed, what it learned, and where you stayed in control. There was never a moment hidden from you.

So this didn’t feel like setup. It felt like an introduction — the beginning of a relationship that is now ready to go to work. And AI Dave doesn’t just know your customers; it understands every relationship that makes your business work.

”I didn’t upload my business. I introduced AI Dave to it.“
In operation · a look ahead

A day with AI Dave.

You’re past wondering what AI Dave is. The real question now is quieter: what do my days actually feel like once it’s running? So here is an ordinary one — the kind where the business keeps thinking, even when you don’t have to.

Before sunrise

Autonomous operational intelligence starts the day without you

There is no moment where you sit down and “begin.” By the time you reach for your first coffee, the business has already been working for hours — quietly, in the dark, while you slept.

”You used to start the day. Now you just join it, already in progress.“
The day

An ordinary day, running itself — autonomously, within your approvals

Nothing here is dramatic. That’s the point. Watch a single, unremarkable day go by — and notice how many small decisions get made well, without anyone needing to chase them.

orb highlight hook One ordinary day A day’s arc from dawn to night, with the day’s moments along it — a customer call, a supplier slip, the afternoon rain, an estimate, heading home, tomorrow already set. The business runs calmly all day, with or without the owner. One ordinary day From before you wake to long after you leave, the day runs on its own quiet rhythm. The day’s moments trace this arc — each handled, in the moment, whether or not you were there for it.
6:30 a.m.

The day has a head start on you.

While you slept, AI Dave answered the after-hours calls and texts, sorted what mattered from what didn’t, and left a two-line brief at the top of your phone. You read it before you’re fully awake.

The business had been working for hours. You hadn’t.
7:10 a.m.

A customer calls about a leak.

Before the second ring, their history is already open — the same drainage issue, three years ago, the same corner of the yard. What would have been a forty-minute call is four.

It remembered something you had long forgotten.
9:40 a.m.

A supplier pushes a delivery two days.

AI Dave doesn’t see a late shipment. It sees what the shipment touches — three customers, two crews, and Thursday’s revenue — and the reschedule is drafted before anyone feels it.

It doesn’t just track things. It understands how they’re connected.
10:25 a.m.

A call doesn’t disappear.

John Smith calls while you’re out on a job. AI Dave takes down what he needs and attaches it to John’s profile — and then does the part that actually matters: it keeps the follow-up alive until it’s handled, not merely noted. When you can’t get to it, it quietly asks whether you’d like it to let John know you’re tied up on a site and will call the moment you’re free.

The call didn’t become one more thing to remember. It became a loop AI Dave refused to let drop.
1:00 p.m.

Rain moves in early.

One installation quietly shifts to Thursday. The two affected customers get a calm, specific message. The crew is redirected to the job that’s under cover. Nobody loses the afternoon.

Nothing about it felt like a scramble. It felt expected.
3:20 p.m.

An estimate request lands, drawings attached.

By the time you’d have come back from lunch, it’s counted, priced, and written up — waiting on a single word from you before it goes out.

4:05 p.m.

A question about a five-year-old warranty.

AI Dave has the install date, the materials used, and the photos from the afternoon the job was finished. The answer takes a moment, not an afternoon.

5:30 p.m.

You close the laptop and leave.

The business doesn’t. It keeps answering, watching, and preparing — exactly the same whether you’re in the room or not.

That was the moment it stopped depending on you.
The quiet part

And you weren’t there for any of it

Read back over the day. The customer who got their answer in four minutes. The afternoon the rain didn’t cost. The estimate that went out before dinner. You weren’t behind a single one of them.

While the business made a dozen quiet, good decisions, you were somewhere else entirely:

at a school recitalon the back ninehaving a long lunchon a planeasleepsimply unreachable
”Your business made a dozen good calls today. You made none of them — and it was one of its best days.“

For the first time, you didn’t have to be the smartest, most-needed thing in your own business. It could think without you in the room — and that is the quiet beginning of getting your life back.

After dark

Tomorrow is already standing

Before the office is dark, tomorrow is balanced: the schedule settled, the morning briefs written, the first follow-ups queued to go out at sunrise. The day doesn’t really end — it just hands off to a night shift that never sleeps.

You’ll wake to a business that has already been working — and to a day that has quietly begun without needing you.
The feeling

Somewhere in an ordinary day

You’ll notice it on a Tuesday, probably. Nothing dramatic — just a quiet realization. A whole day will have gone by, full of decisions made well, and you’ll see that you were barely part of it. The fear you started with — that all of it depends on you — will simply be gone.

”My business keeps thinking, even when I’m not.“
Your business, not a template

There is no form to fit into.

Most software decides in advance what a business looks like, and then you spend a year working around the fields it gave you. This does the opposite: whatever you need to keep track of becomes part of how it understands you, the moment you say so.

“I need to track equipment hours per machine.”

Equipment becomes something it understands about your business — not a note, a part of the picture.

“Keep my rental properties separate from the contracting side.”

Two sides of your working life, each with its own numbers, and one view across both when you want it.

“Remember which suppliers we stopped using, and why.”

A category nobody designed in advance, because you are the one who knew it mattered.

“My son’s hockey season runs November to March.”

Personal is kept personal — and your week is planned around a life, not just a job.

Nothing here needed a developer, a setup screen or a support ticket. You said what you needed and it was understood — which is the difference between software you fill in and an intelligence you talk to.

And when you begin

  1. It asks who you are

In its own words, one thing at a time — not a twelve-page form before you have seen anything work.

  2. You say what you do

Your trade, your years in it, how you actually work. Everything after this is framed by it.

  3. You say what you are trying to do

Grow, get your evenings back, stop chasing paperwork. It plans toward that, not toward a generic best practice.

  4. You set the boundaries

What it may do on its own and what waits for you — decided at the start, changeable at any time.

  5. You can stop halfway

It remembers where you were, because your answers live in your profile rather than in a wizard that forgets.

And it is useful before it is finished — as soon as it knows how you like to be spoken to and what you are aiming at, it starts being worth talking to.

The guided introduction is on the roadmap — it is registered as planned in the same capability record this page is written from, and it is not something you can start today.

Growth & expansion

Grow without giving more of yourself away.

Every time you’ve grown before, it asked for more of you — more hours, more carrying, more of your life poured back in just to hold it together. This time, getting bigger doesn’t cost you more of yourself. The bigger it gets, the more it protects.

What growth used to cost

Every level up took its cut — twice

A second location meant a second set of systems. A bigger team meant the things only you knew had to be taught, again, from scratch. But underneath every expansion was a quieter cost: more of you — more evenings, more weekends, more of your attention spent just holding it all together. Growth didn’t only cost money. It cost you.

”Every time the business got bigger, it took another piece of your life with it.“
Why this time is different

One organism, more rings

ShadowEngine doesn’t keep your business’s intelligence in scattered tools that each have to be rebuilt. It keeps it in one place — the operational profile at the center of everything. So when you grow, you don’t stand up a second business beside the first. You add a ring to the one you already have.

orb highlight hook Growth adds rings; it does not rebuild the core A single core — the business’s operational intelligence — surrounded by concentric growth rings like the rings of a tree. New things (a second location, another crew, a new service line, more customers, a new market, more projects) attach to the same core rather than starting a separate system. A faint dashed outer ring shows room to keep growing. GROWTH ADDS RINGS — IT DOESN’T REBUILD THE CORE Another crew A second location More projects A new service line More customers A new market One operational intelligence ROOM TO KEEP GROWING
Growth adds rings New locations, crews, service lines and markets attach to the same core — they inherit what the business already knows, instead of starting a separate system. The center is never rebuilt; it only grows another ring.
”You’re not building a second business. You’re extending the one that already knows what it’s doing.“
Proof, not theory

What growth stops taking from you

You don’t feel this in a diagram. You feel it in ordinary moments — the ones where the business gets bigger and the thing it used to take from you simply… doesn’t. A few that owners recognize on sight.

Your memory

The business finally left your head.

Every open commitment — callbacks, estimates, supplier questions, follow-ups — stays held and visible until it’s done. The pile that used to live in your memory doesn’t anymore.

You fall asleep without wondering what you forgot.
Your time

The RFP didn’t end the vacation.

A request for proposal lands while you’re away. AI Dave assembles the response from everything the business already knows and has it ready for your word — you approve it from a beach chair.

The opportunity wasn’t lost. Neither was the vacation.
Your relationships

The delay didn’t become an afternoon of apologizing.

When a project slips, AI Dave updates the plan, finds every affected customer, and drafts a calm, consistent message — then asks before anything goes out.

The customers stayed confident. You stayed off the phone.
Your decisions

You knew the profit. You didn’t guess it.

The job wraps and you ask what it actually made. Receipts, supplier costs, labour and materials are already attached to the project; AI Dave shows estimated against actual, with the reasons — and offers to sharpen the next estimate. It prepares the picture; you and your accountant still decide.

For the first time, you don’t hope a project made money. You know.
”Every time the business grew, it used to take a piece of your life with it. Now it hands the pieces back.“

The equation changes

The bigger your business becomes,
the less of your life it has to take.

Most owners believe growth means working harder. Every time the business grows more complex, AI Dave quietly removes another piece of that complexity from your life. Growth no longer asks for more of you — it gives more of you back.

The compounding part

Autonomous intelligence compounds as you grow

Here is the part that runs against everything you’ve learned about scale. Usually, the bigger a business gets, the more it dilutes — standards slip, the left hand forgets the right. When the intelligence lives in one core, the opposite happens. Every job, every season, every new corner of the business teaches the same mind.

So a new service line doesn’t start at zero — it inherits how you already estimate, schedule, and follow through. A new location opens already knowing how your business works. And the whole organism keeps compounding what it learns, quietly, the longer it runs.

”Most businesses get thinner as they grow. This one gets sharper.“
The feeling

Room to keep growing

The ceiling you’ve been managing around — the one made of how much you could personally hold together — quietly stops being the ceiling. Another location, another line of work, another market: within reach, without it costing you more of your life to get there. Growth stops being something you sacrifice yourself for.

“As my business grows, AI Dave protects
more of my time, more of my memory,
more of my relationships, more of my commitments
— and more of my life.”

For years, your business depended on you remembering everything.

Tomorrow, your business remembers with you.

And one day, it will carry what you no longer should.

Because success should give you more life.
Not ask you to give it away.

Where the work actually happens

A place built for the work, for everyone who touches it.Foundation built

Your bookkeeper on your books, your lawyer on your agreements, your estimator on what you are bidding, your office on your customers and jobs — each with the history and the open questions already in front of them.

Workspaces for the professionals you work with

Your bookkeeper needs last quarter’s invoices, so your Tuesday evening is spent looking through folders for things you already paid for.

You are doing unpaid admin for someone you are paying.

I give her the place where that work already lives, with the history and the open questions in front of her, so she stops needing your evening.

Workspaces shaped to your business

There is a spreadsheet only one person understands, and the whole business quietly depends on it.

You know exactly how exposed that is, and you have known for two years.

I build that work a place shaped around how you actually do it, and I keep it current as the work changes rather than leaving you another thing to maintain.

Working surfaces and cockpits

You have four estimates to compare before Friday, open in four tabs, and you keep losing which one had the better exclusions.

You are being careful and still not confident, which is the most tiring way to work.

They open as one place to work, and I stay in the conversation with you rather than handing you a screen and leaving.

How the work feels

You don’t think in applications anymore.

You think in work.

You used to open a program, then another, then find the file, then find the customer, then remember where you were. That is not the job. That was never the job.

Ask for the work

You say what you are trying to get done — price the Henderson job, get ready for Thursday’s meeting, sort out the invoice that is wrong. Not which program to open.

The right things arrive together

Shadow assembles what that work needs around you: the drawing, the estimate, the customer’s history, the supplier’s page, the email you half-remember. You did not go and get them.

Everything stays connected

Every document, drawing, estimate, browser page, CRM record and conversation belongs to the same piece of work. Change a price in one place and the work knows — you are never re-explaining yourself to your own tools.

It is still there tomorrow

Stop mid-thought, close everything, come back Tuesday and say “where were we on Henderson”. The work comes back the way you left it, and so does the conversation about it.

The cost was never the software. It was the twenty minutes of finding everything again, every single time you sat back down.

Ask for the work. Not for the software.

Watch understanding happen

This is what happens while you get on with your life.

That one ordinary moment — an email, a blueprint, a meeting, a bill — quietly becomes finished work, without you touching it.

An email arrives

One email lands. You never touch it.

AI Dave recognizes who it’s from, what it’s for, and what changed since last time.

  1. Email arrives

A bill comes in by email while you’re out on a job.

  2. Shadow understands it

I recognize the vendor, the amount and the due date — and that it’s higher than last month.

  3. Budget updates

Your budget takes it in straight away, so the month still adds up.

  4. Reminder created

I set the reminder before it’s due, not after.

  5. Taxes updated

It’s filed where your accountant will want it in April.

  6. You never think about it again

You didn’t open it, sort it, or remember it. It was simply handled.

Your life
The mental to-do list you carry gets one item shorter, every single time.
Your business
Nothing is ever late because it was sitting unopened.
Your time
The ten minutes of sorting, remembering and filing simply never happens.

A blueprint is uploaded

A drawing arrives in the morning. Your afternoon is yours.

AI Dave reads the project and understands what it takes to build it.

  1. Blueprint uploaded

You drop in a site plan, a sketch, or a few photos from the truck.

  2. AI Dave understands it

I read the drawing — what’s being built, the measurements, the scope of the work.

  3. Materials calculated

Materials and labour worked out from the drawing, not from memory.

  4. Estimate created

A costed estimate you can adjust line by line.

  5. Proposal generated

Turned into a branded proposal in your language, with the supporting documents attached.

  6. Customer receives professional documents

They get something that looks like a company twice your size sent it — the same day.

  7. You spend the afternoon with your family instead of building paperwork

The evening you would have spent on the estimate is just an evening again.

Your life
Your evenings stop belonging to paperwork.
Your business
You quote faster than everyone else bidding the job — and look more professional doing it.
Your time
An evening of estimating becomes a few minutes of reviewing.

A meeting ends

The meeting ends. The work has already started.

AI Dave understands what was promised, by whom, and by when.

  1. Meeting ends

You hang up, and everything agreed is still only in people’s heads.

  2. Action items created

I understood what was agreed, who owns it, and when it’s due.

  3. CRM updated

The customer’s record reflects the conversation you just had.

  4. Projects updated

The job moves to where it actually is now.

  5. Emails drafted

The follow-ups are written and waiting for your yes.

  6. Schedules updated

The dates that were agreed are in the week they belong to.

  7. Nothing gets forgotten

Not the promise you made at minute forty-one. Not any of it.

Your life
You stop replaying conversations at midnight trying to remember what you promised.
Your business
Customers experience a business that always does what it said it would.
Your time
The half-hour of writing it all up afterwards disappears.

Bills arrive

The bills come in. You already know where you stand.

AI Dave understands each one and what it changes.

  1. Bills arrive

The usual pile: hydro, insurance, the truck payment, a supplier invoice.

  2. Shadow understands them

I read each one — who, how much, when, and whether it changed.

  3. Cash flow updated

What’s actually coming out this month, and what’s left.

  4. Debt strategy adjusted

Where an extra payment does the most good, given what’s due.

  5. Savings updated

What can safely be set aside without leaving you short.

  6. Vacation affordability recalculated

And whether that week in the sun is still on.

  7. You already know where you stand

No spreadsheet, no dread, no wondering. You just know.

Your life
The low-level money worry that follows you around gets answered.
Your business
You make decisions on what’s actually in the account, not on a feeling.
Your time
No monthly evening spent reconciling anything.

A customer calls

A customer calls. You already know everything.

AI Dave already knows this customer and everything you’ve done together.

  1. A customer calls

A number you half-recognize, on a Tuesday afternoon.

  2. AI Dave knows who they are

Their history, the last job, what you quoted, what you promised.

  3. The conversation is captured

What they asked for this time, in their own words.

  4. The quote is drafted

Built from the work you’ve done for them before.

  5. The follow-up is scheduled

So it happens whether or not you remember.

  6. You won the work without chasing it

You were the one who called back first — because you didn’t have to think about calling back.

Your life
You stop being the person who owes six people a phone call.
Your business
More of the leads you already have turn into work.
Your time
No digging through old quotes to remember what you charged.

“Can we afford it?”

You ask a question at the kitchen table. You get a real answer.

AI Dave has been keeping your real financial position current the whole time.

  1. “Can we afford the trip in March?”

The kind of question that usually ends in a shrug.

  2. AI Dave already understands your money

Income, bills, debt, savings, what’s coming — I’ve been keeping it current all along.

  3. What’s committed is weighed against what’s coming

Not a guess. What you’ve actually got, after everything that’s already spoken for.

  4. The trade-offs are laid out

What it costs you elsewhere, and what happens if you wait a month.

  5. A clear, reasoned answer

With the reasoning shown, so you can disagree with it.

  6. You booked it — and slept fine

Because the decision was made on the truth, not on hope.

Your life
The big questions stop being stressful guesses.
Your business
The same clarity applies to hiring, buying a truck, or taking on a bigger job.
Your time
Seconds, instead of an evening with a spreadsheet.
A day this actually happens

You’ve just arrived at a customer’s home to quote a new artificial grass installation.Foundation built

How it goes today
  • You measure the garden, write it on a pad, and measure it again because you do not trust the first one
  • That evening you retype it into a spreadsheet, work out the rolls and the base, and look up prices
  • You build the quote in a document, make it look presentable, and send it two days later
  • If they ask for a different edging or a nicer finish, most of that happens again
How it goes with me
  • You walk the perimeter and sketch the backyard naturally on your tablet or your phone
  • You send the sketch to me
  • I work out the measurements
  • I organise the materials
  • I build the complete estimate
  • I prepare a premium customer presentation
  • I generate a professional landscape rendering showing the finished project
  • I prepare the optional upgrades
  • I calculate the pricing
  • I present all of it for your approval

You review it, press approve, and the proposal is ready to send — before you have left the driveway.

Hand him something

Pick something off your own desk.

Choose what arrives, and watch what he makes of it — from the moment it lands to the evening you get back.

A hydro bill

  1. What arrives

A utility bill arrives by email on a Tuesday, while you’re on a roof.

  2. What AI Dave reads off it

    • Who it’s from and which account it belongs to
    • The amount, and that it’s higher than the last three months
    • The due date, and that it falls the day before your truck payment
  3. What he understands from that

That this is a recurring household cost that has moved, and that two payments now land within a day of each other.

  4. What moves, without you

    • Your budget takes the new amount, so the month still adds up
    • A reminder is set with enough room to move money if you need to
    • The bill is filed where your accountant will look for it
    • The increase is flagged — worth a look, not worth a panic
  5. What you end up with

It’s handled, and the one thing worth your attention is the only thing brought to you.

  6. You never opened it, and you never wondered about it.

A sketch of a deck

  1. What arrives

A hand sketch on graph paper, photographed on site with your phone.

  2. What AI Dave reads off it

    • The footprint and the dimensions written on it
    • The stairs, the railing run and the ledger against the house
    • The note in the corner about the grade drop
  3. What he understands from that

That this is a raised deck against an existing wall, and what it takes to build it properly at that height.

  4. What moves, without you

    • Framing, decking, railing and fasteners are worked out from the drawing
    • Labour is estimated against how you’ve priced this work before
    • A costed estimate is produced that you can adjust line by line
    • A branded proposal is drafted around it, with the drawing attached
  5. What you end up with

A professional proposal ready to send, the same day the customer asked.

  6. You spent the afternoon with your family instead of building paperwork.

A call that just ended

  1. What arrives

A twenty-minute call with a customer about changing the scope of a job.

  2. What AI Dave reads off it

    • That the customer wants the patio extended and the fence dropped
    • That you agreed to re-price it by Friday
    • That the start date moves back a week
  3. What he understands from that

That the job, the price and the schedule all changed in one conversation — and that you promised a date.

  4. What moves, without you

    • The job record reflects the new scope
    • A revised estimate is drafted for you to check
    • The follow-up is written and waiting for your yes
    • Friday is booked, and the crew’s week is adjusted
  5. What you end up with

The follow-through is done before you’ve climbed down off the ladder.

  6. Nothing gets forgotten — including the thing you promised at minute fourteen.

A receipt from the truck

  1. What arrives

A crumpled supply-store receipt, photographed on the dashboard.

  2. What AI Dave reads off it

    • The supplier, the date and the total
    • The line items — lumber, fasteners, a blade
    • That it was bought the morning you started the deck job
  3. What he understands from that

That this is a job cost, not a household expense, and which job it belongs to.

  4. What moves, without you

    • It’s categorized and attached to the job
    • The job’s real cost updates, so the margin stays honest
    • It joins the material your accountant will want in April
    • The photograph is kept, because the paper won’t survive the summer
  5. What you end up with

The receipt is filed, costed and connected before you’ve started the engine.

  6. You never spent another Sunday sorting a shoebox.

An invoice for the wrong business

  1. What arrives

A supplier invoice arrives — and you run three businesses that all buy from that supplier.

  2. What AI Dave reads off it

    • The supplier, the amount and the terms
    • The purchase order it refers to
    • Which of your businesses actually ordered it
  3. What he understands from that

That this belongs to one business and not the other two, and that keeping them apart is the whole point.

  4. What moves, without you

    • It’s posted to the business that ordered it, and to no other
    • That business’s cash position updates; the others don’t move
    • Its books stay clean and separate for its own tax year
    • Your view across all three still shows you the whole picture
  5. What you end up with

Three businesses stay three businesses, and you still see them as one.

  6. You run several businesses with one clear head.

A demonstration, using example information. Nothing here is a real customer’s, and nothing is being processed live — it is what AI Dave does with something like this, shown step by step.

He knows the business, not just the data

Your organization, held as it actually is.Foundation built

The people, the roles, who reports to whom, and how the work really moves — learned from the business running, not from a chart somebody has to keep updating.

Your organization, as it actually is

Your foreman calls in sick at six in the morning. Three crews are already loading trucks and two of them were his.

You are making staffing decisions in a driveway with a phone in your hand, and you will be second-guessing them all day.

I already know what he was covering, who else is qualified, and who is closest — so you get a name in the first minute instead of an hour of phone calls.

Executive, manager and staff experience

A new hire asks what he is scheduled on this week. The only place that lives is a sheet that also carries every job’s margin.

You want to answer him, and you do not want to open the business to him to do it.

He asks me and gets his week. You ask me and get the business. Neither of you had to be trained to stay in your lane.

Dashboards that answer, not just display

You are deciding on Thursday whether you can afford a second van, and the only numbers you have are from last month’s close.

You make the call on instinct and carry it for a fortnight, because you cannot tell whether the figure is old or wrong.

You can ask me what changed and why, and the answer comes from the jobs themselves rather than a report someone updated last week.

Everything connects

It is not another app to keep up to date.

That your world is not a pile of separate apps — touch one thing and everything related already knows.

You never wonder whether a bill was paid.

    • Your accountant package builds itself

You never spend another Sunday sorting a shoebox.

    • It’s connected to the job, the customer or the appliance it belongs to
    • The original is always kept
    • You can simply ask about it later

You never search for that document again.

    Customers

Who they are, what you’ve done together, what you quoted, and what you promised.

    • Quotes start from the work you’ve already done

    Nobody slips through the cracks.

    Jobs & estimates

What the work involves, what it costs to do, and where each job actually stands today.

    • Materials and labour are worked out from the drawing
    • Proposals are produced in your branding
    • Job costs and schedules stay current

You quote in minutes instead of evenings.

    Meetings

What was agreed, who owns it, and when it’s due.

    • Action items are created
    • Customer records and jobs move forward
    • Follow-up emails are drafted and dates are booked

Every meeting ends as finished work.

    Your week

What’s committed, what’s about to collide, and what’s quietly slipping.

    • Conflicts are flagged early
    • Reminders land before things are due
    • The dates you agreed to are actually in the week

Your week stops being a memory test.

    Your money

What’s coming in, what’s going out, what’s owed, and what’s actually yours to spend.

    • Cash flow stays current
    • Debt and savings plans adjust to reality
    • What you can afford is recalculated as things change

You always know where you stand.

    Your businesses

That each business is its own world — its own customers, numbers and documents — and that you still need one view across all of them.

    • Each business stays cleanly separate
    • Nothing bleeds between them
    • One overview ties them together when you want it

You run several businesses with one clear head.

    Your week, on the ground

    Heavy rain today

The forecast turns: heavy rain from mid-morning, and today’s job is an excavation.

    What he notices

That today’s work cannot be done wet, that the crew is already booked, and that the next two jobs sit behind it.

    Affected today

    Today’s excavation — unworkable from about 10am.

    Affected ahead

The patio install on Thursday and the walkthrough on Friday both sit behind it.

    Estimated impact

About a day and a half of slippage if nothing moves; less if the indoor work is pulled forward.

What he’d recommend — yours to approve, edit or reject
    • Pull Thursday’s indoor prep forward into today, which is weather-independent
    • Move the excavation to Thursday, when the ground will have drained
    • Leave Friday’s walkthrough where it is — it is unaffected
    Who’d need to know

Two: today’s excavation customer, and Thursday’s — both would see a changed day.

    What he’d draft for them

A short, plain note explaining the weather, the new day, and that nothing else about their job changes.

You approved the change from the truck, and nobody found out from a locked gate.

    An employee calls in sick

Your lead hand calls at 6:40am. He is not coming in.

    What he notices

Which of today’s jobs actually needed him, and which the rest of the crew can still do without him.

    Affected today

The retaining wall — it needs his ticket, so it cannot proceed today.

    Affected ahead

Nothing, if the wall moves to Wednesday when he is back.

    Estimated impact

One job displaced; the rest of the day stands.

What he’d recommend — yours to approve, edit or reject
    • Send the crew to the two jobs that do not need him
    • Move the retaining wall to Wednesday
    • Leave the schedule after Wednesday untouched
    Who’d need to know

    One: the retaining-wall customer.

    What he’d draft for them

A note that keeps it professional — a scheduling change, a new date, no explanation you would rather not give.

You made one decision at 6:45am instead of eleven phone calls before 8.

    Equipment goes down

The skid-steer will not start, and the rental yard has nothing until Thursday.

    What he notices

Every job on the calendar that needs that machine, this week and next.

    Affected today

    Today’s grading.

    Affected ahead

Two jobs next week also need it — worth knowing now, not on the morning.

    Estimated impact

Two days at risk this week, and a decision to make about next week’s two.

What he’d recommend — yours to approve, edit or reject
    • Swap today for the fence job, which needs no machine
    • Hold the grading until the rental is confirmed rather than promising a date
    • Flag next week’s two jobs now, while there is still time to move them calmly
    Who’d need to know

One today; two more only if you decide to move them.

    What he’d draft for them

A note that gives a realistic date rather than an optimistic one you would have to walk back.

The week bent instead of breaking, and no customer was promised a date you could not keep.

    A job runs long

The deck is taking a day and a half longer than quoted — the footings hit rock.

    What he notices

That the overrun is real, what it does to the jobs behind it, and what it does to the job’s margin.

    Affected today

The deck — still open at end of day.

    Affected ahead

Tomorrow’s start slides; the job after it slides with it.

    Estimated impact

A day and a half across the week, and a margin question worth raising with the customer now rather than at invoicing.

What he’d recommend — yours to approve, edit or reject
    • Push tomorrow’s start to the afternoon rather than cancelling it
    • Raise the rock with the customer today, with the change-order option prepared
    • Leave the rest of the week alone — it absorbs the slip
    Who’d need to know

Two: the deck customer about the rock, and tomorrow’s about the later start.

    What he’d draft for them

One note about a discovered condition with the option to price it; one short note about a later start.

The hard conversation happened while it was still small — and the invoice held no surprises.

    Materials arrive late

The supplier calls: the stone is now Friday, not Tuesday.

    What he notices

Which job was waiting on it, and what else the crew could be doing on Tuesday instead.

    Affected today

Tuesday’s install has nothing to install.

    Affected ahead

Friday’s job now competes with the delayed one for the same crew.

    Estimated impact

One idle day unless Tuesday is refilled; a crew conflict on Friday if nothing moves.

What he’d recommend — yours to approve, edit or reject
    • Bring the maintenance visits forward into Tuesday
    • Move the install to Monday, once the stone has actually landed
    • Split Friday so both jobs get a crew
    Who’d need to know

One: the install customer, whose date moves.

    What he’d draft for them

A note that says the supplier is late without making it sound like you are.

A dead Tuesday became a productive one, and you found out from him rather than from an empty yard.

    An urgent customer request

A good customer calls: their irrigation has failed and they have guests on the weekend.

    What he notices

Where a half-day actually exists this week, and what it would cost you to use it.

    Affected today

Nothing yet — this is a question, not a change.

    Affected ahead

Thursday afternoon is the only real gap; using it pushes a low-urgency job to next week.

    Estimated impact

One low-urgency job moves by four days if you take it.

What he’d recommend — yours to approve, edit or reject
    • Take it Thursday afternoon — it is the only gap that does not break something else
    • Move the low-urgency job to Monday, with the customer’s agreement
    • Or decline it honestly today rather than leaving them waiting on a maybe
    Who’d need to know

Two: the urgent customer with an answer, and the moved customer with a request.

    What he’d draft for them

One note confirming Thursday; one note asking — not telling — the other customer about Monday.

You said yes to the customer who mattered without quietly letting another one down.

AI Dave sees the conflict before it becomes a problem and shows you the best options. He works out what is affected and what he would recommend — he does not move a job, change a start date or contact a customer unless you ask him to or you have authorized it.

    Not rough AI text

It goes out looking like it came from a professional office.

Because it did. Your letterhead, your colours, your terms, your signature — finished work you can send, not a draft you have to rescue.

    One of your companies

Just the landscaping side — the other two stay out of it.

    One location

Only the customers served out of the north yard.

    One service

Everyone who has ever had irrigation installed.

    A single lead

The one who asked for a price in March and went quiet.

    An existing customer

    Customers who went quiet

Everyone you have not spoken to in eighteen months.

    Customers due for maintenance

Every putting green due its annual service.

    A geographic region

Everyone within fifteen minutes of Thursday’s job.

    A purchase history

Everyone who bought the premium package.

A light week two weeks out

The schedule two weeks from now has holes in it. Left alone, that is a quiet week you feel in the bank a month later.

    What he prepares
    • Finds past customers whose work is due for maintenance, and the ones within reach of the jobs already booked
    • Puts together a targeted promotion sized to fill the gap — not a blast to everyone you have ever met
    • Drafts the emails and the text messages, in your voice
    • Drafts the social posts to go with them
    • Shows you the expected audience and what it would fill

Waiting on you: The list, the offer, every draft, and the send — all of it waiting on your yes.

A light week became a booked week, and you never spent an evening writing emails.

    A customer overdue for service

A putting-green customer from two years ago has not booked their annual maintenance.

    What he prepares
    • Pulls their history — what was installed, when, what it has needed since
    • Drafts a personal reminder that reads like you wrote it, because it knows the job
    • Recommends an appropriate offer rather than a generic discount
    • Prepares the follow-up for a week later in case there is no reply

Waiting on you: The message and the offer, ready to send when you say so.

The work came back without you chasing it — and the customer felt remembered, not marketed at.

    A project you just finished

You finished a job you are proud of. Usually the photos stay on your phone.

    What he prepares
    • Turns it into a branded case study using the project’s own record and photographs
    • Drafts a blog article and a business-listing update from it
    • Drafts an email to the customers most likely to want the same thing
    • Drafts the social posts, sized for each place they would go
    • Sets up the tracking so you learn which of them actually produced an enquiry

Waiting on you: Every piece, together, before anything goes anywhere.

One finished job kept selling for you all season, and you approved it over a coffee.

    The season turning

Spring is coming and everyone will call in the same three weeks.

    What he prepares
    • Segments who books early, who books late, and who always leaves it too long
    • Drafts a campaign that pulls the early bookers forward and spreads the load
    • Prepares reactivation notes for the ones who went quiet last year
    • Prepares referral asks for the customers who already say yes to everything

Waiting on you: The whole calendar of it, laid out, for you to change or approve.

The season filled evenly instead of arriving all at once — and you were not the bottleneck.

Marketing is on the roadmap — it is registered as PLANNED in the capability manifest this site is generated from. Everything above describes what AI Dave will prepare for your approval. He does not send, publish, post or advertise anything today, and when he does it will still be your yes that sends it.

Supplier invoices and customer payments flow in.

AI Dave sorts each to the right place and keeps cash flow current.

→ You always knew where the business stood.

    • Mid-month

      A lead needs a quote and a follow-up.

AI Dave turns it into an estimate, a proposal and a timely nudge.

→ Fewer leads slipped; more turned into work.

    • Month-end

      Reporting and tax prep loom.

AI Dave produces a clean financial summary and an accountant package.

→ Tax season was already organized.

    Shadow already knew.

    “I own three businesses.”

    • Each business

Three companies, each with its own customers, projects, staff and finances.

AI Dave keeps each business its own world — separate books, customers and documents — governed and isolated.

→ Nothing bled between businesses; each stayed clean.

    • Across all

You need to see the whole picture.

AI Dave composes one executive understanding across all three.

→ You had one clear head across everything you run.

    Shadow already knew.

    The financial story

    • As it arrives

A bill, a receipt, a pay stub, a supplier invoice, a customer payment, an investment statement, a tax document.

Shadow understands what changed, why it matters, what to update, what to remember, and what to recommend or prepare.

→ Your debt was reduced faster, and your money finally made sense.

    Shadow already knew.

    The document story

    • Any time

You upload a contract, receipt, insurance document, manual, drawing, permit, plan, tax form, invoice or photo.

Shadow understands it immediately, keeps the original, and connects it to everything related.

→ You never searched for that file again — nothing became a forgotten file.

    Shadow already knew.

    Why you can trust Shadow

You are about to hand him the important parts of your life.

So here is exactly how they are protected — in plain words, before you decide anything.

Watch what happens to something you share
    1. You share something

      A bill, a contract, a photograph, a conversation.

    2. He understands it

What it is, who it concerns, what it changes.

    3. It is classified

How sensitive it is, decided when it arrives rather than later.

    4. It lands in your own profile

Yours alone — not a shared pool with other customers in it.

    5. Permissions close around it

Who may see it is decided by what you have granted, not by who asks.

    6. Only authorized people reach it

Everyone else is refused by default, including when the request looks reasonable.

    7. Every action stays governed

Anything that would leave the system waits for your approval.

    8. It is all auditable

What was shared, with whom, and when — kept so you can check rather than trust.

    9. And it is still yours

Exportable, correctable, erasable. You can leave and take it with you.

What he does on his own — and what waits for you
    • Read what you share He just does it That is the job.
    • Understand it He just does it Working out what it means costs you nothing and risks nothing.
    • Recommend He just does it Advice is free to give and free to ignore.
    • Prepare the work He just does it The estimate, the letter, the campaign — drafted and waiting.
    • Send anything Waits for you Unless you have explicitly authorized that kind of send.
    • Spend or move money Waits for you Unless you have explicitly authorized it. Today he does not move money at all.
    • Delete something important Waits for you Always.
    • Share your information Waits for you Always — with anyone, for any reason.
    • Raise a legal matter Your policy decides Your escalation policy decides: recorded only, brought to you, or brought to you and your counsel.
Your businesses, your family, your customers
    • Every customer has their own separate Living Profile.
    • Customer information is never mixed together.
    • What one customer teaches him does not become another customer’s answer.
    • The Founder’s own information stays the Founder’s.
    • Your information stays yours.
    • Professionals only ever reach what you explicitly permitted.
Access for your lawyer, accountant or advisor can be
    granted changed restricted revoked audited
The questions you are already thinking
    Who owns my information?You do.

You do. It is yours, it stays yours, and you can take it or have it removed. Nothing you share becomes ours to use.

Can another customer see my information? No — never.

No. Every customer gets their own separate world. There is no shared pool, no common file, and no path from one customer’s information to another. It is not a promise about behaviour; it is how the thing is built.

Can AI Dave use what he learns from me to help someone else? No.

No. What he learns about your business stays with your business. Your pricing, your customers, your methods and your documents are not borrowed to serve anyone else.

Can he move money without asking? No. He never moves money.

No. He reads bills, understands your position and recommends — that is the whole of it. He does not pay, transfer or spend. When that ever changes it will be something you switch on deliberately, not something you discover.

Can he send emails on his own?Not unless you allow it.

He prepares them. Sending is a separate step that needs your yes. If you later decide you want certain routine things to go out without asking, that is a permission you grant explicitly — and you can take it back.

Who can access my information? You, and whoever you authorize.

You, and anyone you specifically authorize. Not by job title, not by asking nicely — by an explicit permission you granted, scoped to a particular matter, with an end date.

How do my lawyer, accountant or advisor get access?Only when you grant it.

You grant them access to a specific piece of work. They see what that work needs and nothing else. Your accountant does not see your legal matters; your lawyer does not see your project revenue.

Can I take that access away?Immediately.

Immediately, and it takes effect everywhere at once. Their history of what was shared remains for your records — what changes is that they can no longer reach anything.

    Can I delete my information?Yes.

Yes. It can be exported so you have it, and erased across the places we hold it. Where something must be kept — a paid invoice, for instance — you are told what and why rather than quietly kept.

How are my documents protected?Kept, classified, and never disclosed by default.

The original is always kept, unchanged. Everything is classified when it arrives, and nothing is disclosed unless the person asking is clearly allowed to see it. When in doubt, the answer is no.

How are my businesses kept apart? Each is its own world.

Each business has its own customers, numbers and documents, and nothing bleeds between them. You still get one view across all of them when you want it — because you are allowed to see all of them.

How are my family’s records protected?Personal stays personal.

Your household and personal life are separate from your business. Someone helping with your business does not thereby see your family’s records.

How do approvals work?Anything that leaves the system waits for you.

Reading, understanding, working things out and preparing happen freely. Anything that touches the outside world — sending, paying, signing, changing a customer’s record — is held until you approve it.

How do I know why he recommended something? He shows the reasoning.

Every recommendation can be traced back to what it was based on. If he says you can afford it, he can show you what he counted. If he can’t show you, he shouldn’t be saying it.

Who is watching the platform itself?

Guardian Intelligence — the platform’s own protection intelligence, and it is active today. It continuously watches ShadowEngine’s health, integrity and security posture: it inspects the architecture, verifies integrity, checks every entry point against a governed boundary, detects regressions and prepares the correction before anyone has to notice the problem.

What it does not do is act on your world without you. Containing an incident, isolating an environment, rotating a secret, taking a service down — those are governed actions that wait for a human decision, and several of them wait on production infrastructure that does not exist yet. We would rather tell you where the line is than let you assume it is somewhere else.

One more thing, because it matters more than a badge: the platform does not accept real customer information yet. It refuses it, deliberately, until every production protection is independently in place. The protections described here are built into how it works — and we would rather tell you what is not finished than show you a certificate we have not earned.

Your life gets easier. Your information stays yours. You decide.

    The businesses around you

Work with the people you already work with — without handing them your business.Built — activation pending

Your accountant, your lawyer, a contractor, a supplier. Connected directly, so working together stops meaning emailing copies back and forth — and everything you did not share stays yours.

    Connected organizations

It is the morning payroll has to be filed and your accountant emails asking for the same three receipts you sent her in March.

You are searching your own sent items to prove you already did something you already did.

I show her the ones you have already given her, and nothing else — so neither of you has to ask twice.

    Governed connections between businesses

A contractor you used all last season has not worked with you since spring, and you genuinely do not know what they can still see.

It sits at the back of your mind every time you think about pricing.

You tell me to end it and I stop it on both sides at once — no request to them, no waiting on anyone, and I can tell you exactly what they could reach until that moment.

    Controlled document sharing

Six months on, a client insists the drawing they approved is not the one you built to, and both of you are holding a PDF.

You are certain you are right and you cannot prove it, which is a worse position than being wrong.

I only ever showed them yours — they never held a copy — so I can tell you precisely which drawing they saw and when, and that is not a matter of opinion.

    Controlled image sharing

You send a supplier a photo of a failed part, and the same photo carries the job sheet, the client’s address and your cost on it.

You notice a week later, and there is nothing you can do about it.

I let them look at the part and nothing more. I do not let what is in the picture become their records, because anything lifted out of it would outlive the permission you gave.

    Organizational messaging

Everyone remembers agreeing the change on site. Nobody wrote it down, and the invoice is now disputed.

You are arguing about what was said with someone you have to keep working with.

I keep that conversation with the job it belongs to, so when it is disputed I can show you what was agreed, on the day it was agreed.

    Governed knowledge sharing

You showed a subcontractor how you price a certain kind of work. That relationship ended in June, and they now bid against you.

You taught them, and there is no undoing it — which is the part nobody tells you before you share.

What you shared stops being reachable the moment you end it — and I tell you plainly what they already worked out while they could see it, rather than implying that disappears.

    Working together, governed

You are running a project jointly and neither side wants the other seeing anything beyond it — so you both work in email instead.

The safest option is the one that costs you both the most time.

I give you both one place for the work you genuinely share, and I keep everything either of you did not share entirely your own.

    Connected intelligence

Your AI Dave can work with someone else’s — without either of you handing anything over.

Your supplier has one. Your accountant has one. The company you build for has one. When you connect, the two of them can work on the same job together — and neither business loses control of a single thing it knows. This is the part nobody else can do, because it was designed before anything was shared, not bolted on afterwards.

What happens when you share something

    1. You share a document with them

They can read it. They never receive a copy they own, and never a key of their own.

Every time they open it, permission is checked again — not once, at the moment you shared it.

    2. You change your mind

You end the share, and it is gone from their side immediately.

There is nothing to take back. They were never holding it, so revoking is instant rather than a request.

    3. They message you about it

The message goes through. If it carries something of yours, that part is checked first.

Otherwise a message is the way around every permission you set — read it, paste it, and it has left.

    4. You share a photograph

They can look at it. What they cannot do is pull the text out of it.

A photograph can be un-shared. The numbers lifted out of it could not be — they would outlive the picture.

    5. Either of you ends the connection

Access stops on both sides, at once.

A connection is two decisions, so it only takes one to end it. Neither party needs the other’s agreement to leave.

    6. Afterwards

You keep the record of what was shared, with whom, and when.

So you can check rather than trust — including checking us.

Nothing here is a promise about behaviour. It is the shape of the thing: they cannot keep what they were never given.

A company is many AI Daves, and each one is still a person’s own

    Everyone gets their own

Your estimator, your project manager, your bookkeeper — each has their own AI Dave who knows their work, not a shared account with a common memory.

You see across all of them

Because you are allowed to. What is happening, what is stuck, what needs you — one view over the whole company, assembled from work rather than typed into a report.

    Seeing is not reading everything

You see the company’s work. Their personal life, and anything they hold as their own, is not company property because they used it here.

    When someone leaves

Their access to the company ends that day. Their own AI Dave — everything they personally learned and built — leaves with them. It was never the company’s to keep.

    And the work stays

The customers, the jobs, the documents and the history belong to the business and do not walk out of the door with a resignation.

    What you look at

    Your company, right now

What moved today, what is waiting on you, and what is about to go wrong.

Assembled from the work itself — not a report someone remembered to update.

    Your money

What is owed to you, what you owe, and whether you can afford the thing you are about to do.

He shows what he counted, so a number you do not believe can be opened rather than argued with.

    Your week

What is scheduled, what is realistic, and what happens to everything else when one day goes wrong.

Change one thing and watch the rest re-sequence.

    Your people

Who is on what, who is blocked, and who is carrying too much.

From what they are actually doing, not from a status meeting.

    Your connections

Who your business is working with, what each of them can reach, and what they have looked at.

Every share is visible to you, and every one of them can be ended here.

    What you have earned

Recognition you have built up, what it can be used for, and what it cannot.

Shown honestly, including the parts that are not decided yet.

Where this actually stands: it is built and it is not open yet. Two things are deliberately in the way. Connecting two businesses means each has to prove it is who it says it is, and that proof runs on infrastructure we are still standing up. And sharing between two businesses raises questions our lawyers should settle before a customer relies on it, not after. Until both are done, connections can be planned and nothing can be sent — and we would rather show you the working than let you find the edge yourself.

    Where your week goes

He cannot create more hours. He gives them back.

Exactly how many hours a week your own admin costs you — in your numbers — and what those hours are worth as life.

They come back because he keeps working between your conversations — organizing what arrives, preparing what is coming, and watching the things you would otherwise have to hold in your head. Anything that would actually change something waits for you.

Your week — drag each one to match it
The part of the job nobody starts a business to do.
    6 hrs
    Usually after dinner, usually twice.
    5 hrs
Reading it, sorting it, and remembering what it asked for.
    5 hrs
Finding the thing you know you have somewhere.
    3 hrs
The calls you meant to return on Tuesday.
    3 hrs
    Reconciling what already happened.
    3 hrs
Moving four people’s days around one change.
    2 hrs
Pure loss — no one is paying you for it.
    2 hrs

These are your numbers, not ours. Set each one to your own week — we don’t estimate your time for you, and we don’t promise you a percentage. What AI Dave does is take on the work you’d rather never do again.

The work you’d rather never do again
    29 hours a week

That is what AI Dave is for. Here are the same hours, seen the way you’d actually spend them:

    • 7 family dinners you’re actually at — every week
    • 3 rounds of golf — every week
    • 3 full days off — every week
    • 1 weekend back — every week

So — what would you do with them?

    Answer that question
    A day this actually happens

Four of you play every second Saturday, and the same argument happens on the eighteenth green about who owes what.Built — activation pending

    How it goes today
    • Someone keeps the card, someone else disputes a stroke, and the settling-up happens by memory in the car park
    • One of you pays for lunch instead, which is close enough and never quite even
    • By the next round nobody remembers who was owed what
    • The scores live on a paper card that goes through the wash
    How it goes with me
    • The round is recorded as it is played, so the card is not the argument
    • What was agreed beforehand is what settles afterwards, and I hold both
    • The balance moves between you on the terms you set, and each side keeps the record of it
    • Next time, the standing arrangement is already there

The eighteenth green stops being where the maths happens, and nobody has to remember.

    Recognition & Rewards Intelligence

Recognition is how people say it mattered.

Recognition is a fundamental behaviour of healthy people, teams, businesses and communities. ShadowEngine provides a governed system that lets people and organizations recognize genuine value in meaningful ways — and every reward represents appreciation for value that was actually created.

    Planned capability

Recognition & Rewards Intelligence is designed, governed and built — and not yet commercially active. Nothing on this page is a purchasable offer. No balance is being earned, no recognition has moved value between accounts, no referral reward has been paid and no milestone has been reached. The one part that carries no financial consequence — recognition itself, recorded against a named person for a stated reason — is the only part that operates today. Everything else begins when the Founder approves commercial activation.

Almost every business system can record what was done. Almost none of them has anywhere to put the fact that somebody did it well. This is where that goes — for your customers, your crew, the people around you, and the community you built it in.

    01

    Your business grows

Staying builds value. So does introducing someone.

Every eligible paid month adds US$100 to a balance you control. Introduce a business that genuinely benefits and, once they complete their full qualifying payment, US$500 is added as well. You make the introduction in one sentence; AI Dave does the rest of it.

    Business growth · Referrals
    02

    Your people are recognized

The thing most businesses mean to do and never get round to.

Employee of the month, a year with no safety incidents, someone who rebuilt a process, whoever absorbed the customer nobody wanted to phone. You say what they did; AI Dave prepares the recognition, the certificate and the announcement in your own voice, and holds it for your approval.

    Employee recognition · Team appreciation
    03

    The people around you

Not everyone who helps you is on your payroll.

A supplier who got you out of trouble. The bookkeeper who caught something big. Counsel who turned it around overnight. A mate who won the golf. Recognition is not limited to businesses, and it is not limited to money — often the record that it happened is the part that lasts.

    Appreciation · Professional collaboration
    04

The community you are part of

Being early is supposed to count for something.

When ShadowEngine reaches 100 active customers and then 300 active customers, every active eligible customer is credited — US$500 and US$1,000 respectively. Not for anything you had to do. For being here.

    Community milestones
    AI-managed workflows

You say one sentence. That is your entire part in it.

“AI Dave, send Tony 50 Shadow Credits for helping me win that bid.”

No form, no portal, no support ticket, no administrative workflow you have to learn. Behind that one sentence there are ten governed steps, and AI Dave performs all ten:

    1. Confirms it is really you asking
    2. Finds the person you mean, and confirms they are a real AI Dave user
    3. Checks what of your balance could actually go
    4. Checks this kind of recognition is permitted, and that you gave a reason
    5. Applies your organization’s rules and the platform’s
    1. Runs the fraud checks — every one of them, every time
    2. Gets the approval, if this needs one, and tells you it is waiting
    3. Completes it
    4. Tells you both — and tells them who recognized them, and why
    5. Records it on both recognition histories, permanently

Steps one to seven run and pass today. Step eight — the only step that moves anything of value — refuses, and says why. Recognition that carries no financial value completes in full.

    Recognition Transfers

Governed appreciation between two people — not a way to move money.

Recognition Transfers represent governed appreciation and recognition. They are NOT unrestricted financial transfers. Every one is authenticated, governed, policy-driven, configurable, auditable, fraud-monitored, approval-aware and jurisdiction-aware — and an organization configures what its own people may do.

    authenticated

both sides are verified AI Dave users — never an unverified email address

    governed

one configuration authority holds every rule, and an unresolved rule refuses

    policy driven

limits and eligibility come from policy, never from the surface asking

    configurable

amounts, limits and thresholds are settings, not hard-coded numbers

    auditable

an append-only, hash-chained entry on both recognition histories

    fraud monitored

self-transfer, related accounts, reciprocal patterns and velocity are all checked

    approval aware

above a threshold, or inside an organization, a second authority signs off

    jurisdiction aware

where a place’s rules differ, the rule is configured rather than assumed

    organization configurable

a business decides who may recognize, up to what value, and who approves

A Recognition Transfer with no stated reason is refused. The reason is the substance of it; the credits only carry it.

Governed separately · moves nothing The Founder has settled the model and expressly reserved the policy. The jurisdictions it may operate in, the tax treatment for whoever receives one, the limits, the verification and the fraud rules are all governed separately and none of them is settled, so no recognition can move value. AI Dave will walk you through exactly what would happen, and then stop.

    Employee recognition

“AI Dave, Sarah went above and beyond this month.”

From that, AI Dave puts together what she actually did in specific terms, and what you could give her — recognition, a badge, a certificate, an internal announcement in your own voice, Shadow Credits, or a performance bonus. You approve; she receives something that means something.

    What AI Dave does
    • Writes the recognition, specific to what she did
    • Prepares the certificate and the announcement
    • Prepares the complete bonus instruction — who, how much, why, and which approval carried it
    • Records it against her recognition history
    What AI Dave never does
    • Pay an employee
    • Touch your payroll
    • Decide your jurisdiction’s tax or employment treatment
    • Issue money without the approval authority for it

Employee bonuses never bypass payroll. AI Dave prepares the workflow; your own payroll provider executes it, under your own jurisdiction. That is an architectural boundary, not a setting somebody could switch.

    How recognition is carried

Recognition is not one thing, and it is not always money.

    Recognition

Saying it, properly: a specific, attributed acknowledgement of what the person actually did, recorded so it is not forgotten.

    02

    You introduce someone

    US$500

once the business you introduced completes its full qualifying payment

You tell AI Dave who to introduce. It handles the introduction, the follow-through and the tracking, and credits you when that customer genuinely qualifies — not when an email goes out.

    Referral intelligence

You say it once. AI Dave runs the rest.

“I’d like to introduce AI Dave to Tony Smith.”

That is the whole of your part. There is no code to find and no link to copy, because a referral here is a conversation, not a coupon.

    Then AI Dave
    1. Asks who the person is, and confirms the details it needs
    2. Confirms you are the right person to make the introduction
    3. Prepares the introduction for approval
    4. Sends the approved introduction
    5. Tracks whether they take it up, and keeps you posted
    6. Determines qualification against the governed rules
    7. Applies your credit once — and only once — the qualifying payment is complete
    You never have to
    • Find a referral code
    • Copy a tracking link
    • Write the email yourself
    • Chase the person you introduced
    • Contact support to be paid
    • Claim the reward manually

US$500 is credited to you only after the business you introduced completes its full qualifying payment — an introduction being sent earns nothing, and payment is never immediate. Eligibility, qualifying conditions and applicable terms are governed separately and are not set on this page.

What a Shadow Credit is worth

One Shadow Credit represents one dollar of value.

    Apply it

Toward eligible AI Dave services — up to the full pre-tax subscription service charge when your balance covers it. Applicable taxes stay payable through your normal billing method.

    Or take it out

Where permitted under the governed Shadow Credits policy, an available balance may be redeemed using an approved payout method.

Governed separately · not available today
If a payout is available to you

“AI Dave, cash out my Shadow Credits.”

No form, no portal, no support ticket. You say it; AI Dave does the administration.

    1. Determines whether you are eligible
    2. Calculates the balance that qualifies
    3. Prepares the payout request
    4. Submits it into the approval workflow
    5. Tells you what happened, in plain language
    6. Tracks it through to completion

Whether a payout is available at all, to whom, in what amounts and under what tax and verification treatment is governed by the Shadow Credits policy — which is not settled and is not decided on this page. Today this workflow is designed and inert.

A balance you understand, not a number you squint at

Shadow tells you what it means.

Any system can display a figure. The point of an intelligence holding your balance is that it knows what the figure is for, and says so at a moment that is useful.

    • That is your next month of AI Dave, already covered.
    • One more qualified introduction and you have covered a full quarter.
    • You are nine eligible months from the twelve-month mark.
    • ShadowEngine is approaching its first community milestone — you are already inside it.
    • You have never applied a credit. Worth knowing what it would cover.

Illustrations of how Shadow explains a balance — not statements about anyone’s account.

    So there is no confusion
    • Shadow Credits are not used to unlock capabilities — AI Dave already includes what the subscription covers.
    • Shadow Credits are not a rewards catalogue and are not exchanged for unrelated products.
    • Shadow Credits are not an investment return and are not guaranteed cash repayment.
    • Shadow Credits are applied toward eligible AI Dave services; any approved payout method is governed separately and is not available today.
    • Recognition & Rewards is not a payment service, a money-transfer service or a stored-value product offered to the public.
    • AI Dave may recommend recognition and never issues a monetary reward without the appropriate approval authority.
    • Employee bonuses are prepared for your payroll provider and are never paid by ShadowEngine.
Recognition & Rewards — your questions
What is Recognition & Rewards Intelligence?

The governing capability for every way value gets recognized here — Shadow Credits, referrals, community milestones, employee recognition and Recognition Transfers. Shadow Credits are one mechanism inside it, not the whole thing.

Can I send Shadow Credits to another AI Dave user?being confirmed

That is a Recognition Transfer, and it is exactly what it is designed for — you say who and why, and AI Dave runs the whole workflow. The Founder has settled the direction and expressly reserved the policy: the jurisdiction, tax treatment, limits and verification rules are still with counsel, so nothing can move value. AI Dave will show you precisely what would happen and then stop, rather than pretend.

Is a Recognition Transfer just sending someone money?

No. It is governed appreciation with a reason attached — authenticated on both sides, limited, fraud-monitored, approval-aware, recorded on both recognition histories. A transfer with no stated reason is refused outright, which is not how money works and is rather the point.

    Can I recognize my employees?

Yes — that is one of the main reasons it exists. Employee of the month, a safety record, an innovation, someone who handled a hard customer. You say what they did; AI Dave prepares the recognition, the announcement, the certificate and the options.

Can AI Dave pay an employee bonus?

No, and it never will. AI Dave prepares the complete bonus instruction — recipient, amount, reason, and the approval that carried it — and your own payroll provider pays it under your jurisdiction’s tax and employment rules. Employee bonuses never bypass payroll. That is an architectural boundary rather than a setting someone could switch.

How does a referral work?being confirmed

You tell AI Dave who you would like to introduce. There is no code and no link. It confirms the details, checks the introduction is yours to make, prepares it for your approval, sends it, tracks whether they take it up, and credits you once that business completes its full qualifying payment. Sending an introduction earns nothing on its own; what counts as the full qualifying payment is governed separately and is not settled yet.

What is a Shadow Credit worth?

One dollar of value, in the same currency as your AI Dave subscription. Credits are never converted between currencies.

Can I take Shadow Credits out as cash?being confirmed

Not today. The Founder has approved the direction — that an eligible balance may be redeemed through a governed payout method where the policy permits it — and expressly reserved the policy itself, which is not settled: the jurisdictions, limits, verification, tax treatment and reserve requirements are with counsel. So there is no payout available to anyone, and AI Dave will not imply otherwise. Applying credits toward eligible AI Dave services is what the programme is built around.

    What are community milestones?

Rewards for the platform growing rather than for anything you do. At 100 active customers every active eligible customer receives 500 Shadow Credits; at 300, 1,000. The Founder settled those two; anything beyond them is governed separately and is not promised.

Can I recognize someone who is not in business with me?

Yes. A friend, family, a coach, a mentor, a professional who helped you, another AI Dave user. Personal recognition and business recognition are governed separately, so recognizing your crew and thanking a mate are not treated as the same act.

Who has to approve a recognition?

It depends what is being given and to whom. It can need an authenticated sender, an identified recipient, the recipient’s consent, an approver in the organization, payroll authority, the Founder or a delegate, and counsel’s policy being settled. Your organization sets its own rules about who may recognize and up to what value. When something waits on approval, AI Dave holds it and tells you what it is waiting on.

    Could someone abuse this?

It is designed against that. You cannot recognize yourself. Related or duplicate accounts cannot recognize each other. Reciprocal transfers between the same two accounts get held as credit farming. There are per-transfer and monthly limits, velocity monitoring, duplicate-account checks before a referral qualifies, and approval escalation above a threshold. Every refusal is recorded with its reason, so a pattern of them is visible.

Will AI Dave decide to reward someone on its own?

No. AI Dave may recommend recognition and may never issue a monetary reward without the appropriate approval authority. Recommending is not issuing, and that distinction is decided permanently rather than left as a preference.

Is any of this active today?

The recognition itself is — saying it properly, to a named person, for a specific reason, recorded. Everything with value attached is built, verified and switched off: no credits are being earned, no transfer can move, no referral reward has been paid, no milestone reached, no payout exists. Earning begins when the Founder approves commercial activation.

Does receiving recognition create a tax problem for me?being confirmed

That is not something AI Dave will assert, because it is jurisdiction-specific and it is counsel’s to settle — including whether employer-to-employee credit counts as a taxable benefit. It is recorded as an open question with the gate on it rather than answered with a guess. When it is settled it becomes configurable per jurisdiction, not hard-coded.

Where do I see what I have been given?

On your recognition history, in your AI Dave account: who recognized you, why, what came with it, and every entry behind the balance. Both sides of every recognition keep their own record.

    Shadow Credits — your questions
    What are Shadow Credits?

A loyalty benefit for staying with AI Dave. Every eligible month you remain an active customer, you earn credits that build up in your account and can be applied toward eligible future AI Dave subscription payments.

    How do I earn them?

By remaining an active AI Dave customer. Each eligible, successfully paid subscription month earns 100 Shadow Credits — there is nothing to claim, sign up for, or remember. Credits use the same currency as your subscription.

    When do they become available?

After the month’s subscription payment has actually completed. An invoice being issued is not enough — the payment has to go through.

Can I choose when to apply them?

Yes. That is the point. They sit in your balance until you decide to use them; nothing is applied automatically.

Can I use them toward the AI Dave monthly fee?

Yes — that is what they are for. When your balance is sufficient they can cover up to the full pre-tax AI Dave subscription service charge; applicable taxes remain payable through your normal billing method.

    Are they cash?being confirmed

No — a Shadow Credit is a programme benefit rather than money, and it is never transferable to another account. Each credit represents one dollar of value against eligible AI Dave services. The Founder has also approved that an available balance may be redeemed through an approved payout method where the governed Shadow Credits policy permits it — that policy is not settled, and no payout is available today.

    How does a referral work?

You tell AI Dave who you would like to introduce — that is your whole part in it. There is no code to find and no link to copy. AI Dave confirms the details, checks the introduction is yours to make, prepares it for your approval, sends it, tracks whether they take it up, and credits you once the business you introduced completes its full qualifying payment.

When do I earn the referral credit?being confirmed

Only after the person you referred completes the full qualifying payment. Sending an introduction earns nothing on its own, and the credit is never immediate. The qualifying conditions themselves are governed separately and are not yet settled.

    What are community milestones?

Rewards that recognize the platform growing rather than anything you have to do. At 100 active customers every active eligible customer receives 500 Shadow Credits; at 300, 1,000. Milestones beyond those two are governed separately and are not promised.

    How would I take a payout?being confirmed

By telling AI Dave. It works out whether you are eligible, calculates the qualifying balance, prepares the payout request, submits it into the approval workflow, tells you what happened and tracks it to completion — you never fill in a form. Whether a payout is available at all, and under what limits, verification and tax treatment, is governed by the Shadow Credits policy and is not decided yet.

Is any of this active today?

No. The programme is designed, governed and built, and it is not commercially active. No credits are being earned, no referral reward has been paid and no milestone has been reached. Earning begins only when the Founder approves commercial activation.

    Do they unlock extra features?

No. AI Dave already includes everything your subscription covers. Credits are about the cost of staying, never about what you are allowed to do.

    Do they expire?being confirmed

Not while your subscription is active and in good standing. The final wording is being protected by counsel before the program terms are published.

What happens if I cancel?being confirmed

You stop earning new credits. Your existing balance stays on record and is preserved for 12 months — if you come back within that period, it is still there. Nothing is ever silently deleted. Final conditions are governed by the published program terms.

What happens if a payment is refunded or disputed?being confirmed

The credits that month earned are reversed or held, depending on the outcome. The exact treatment is being confirmed with accounting before publication; in the meantime the safe action is taken — held, never silently removed.

Where can I see my balance?

In your AI Dave account, under Shadow Credits: what is available, what is pending, what you have earned in total, what you have applied, and every entry behind it.

What would you do with an extra 20 hours every week?

AI Dave cannot create more hours. He gives them back — by carrying on between your conversations: organizing what arrives, preparing what is coming, watching what matters, and bringing you only the decisions that are actually yours to make. Within the boundaries you approve, and never beyond them. That is the promise of ShadowEngine.
